Winning the 2029 home World Cup is the ambitious and unashamed motivation behind Rugby Australia appointing successful sevens coach Tim Walsh as the women's high-performance director.

Walsh will transition into the newly created role on July 1, charged with overseeing both the Wallaroos' 15-a-side game and the sevens programs.
