Massive queues spotted outside H&M in Liverpool city centre

Huge queues were spotted outside H&M in Liverpool's bustling city centre today, May 11.

Eager fashion lovers lined the street outside the store on Lord Street in a bid to get their hands on the new collaboration between the high street giant and French fashion house, Mugler.

The legendary brand, currently under the helm of creative director Casey Cadwallader, is known and loved for its bold designs. Items often feature corseted elements, mesh, oversized shoulder pads, skin tight dresses and more.

Custom Mugler designs have even been sported by Beyonce on her hotly anticipated Renaissance tour. Understandably, H&M x Mugler has garnered much attention since the collaboration was announced and, after launching on May 11, it quickly sold out online.

Those keen to snap up one of the items in the collection queued for up to an hour outside the Liverpool store today, where staff only allowed a small number of people to enter and peruse the collaboration at one time.

Inside the store, H&M x Mugler was roped off with security on hand to ensure only those who’d queued were given access. Items included bold panelled jeans, a vintage-inspired mini dress, boxy blazers, bodysuits, and much more. The colour palette is monochromatic, with lots of black, blue, and even lime green items interspersed with garments made with a blend of two bold colours.

The collection looks high end and had countless shoppers leaving the Liverpool store armed with large blue bags adorned with H&M x Mugler branding. H&M is based at 67-69 Lord Street, Liverpool, L2 6PG.
