Mass Effect 5 is officially on the way, and as a longtime BioWare fan, I've brought together absolutely everything we know so far about the next entry in one place right here.
Mass Effect 5 was first initially confirmed back in 2020, but we're still likely going to be in for quite a wait before the new game arrives. With some cryptic teasers dropping during N7 days past – which included some artwork and a curious trailer with a transmission – there are still so many questions about the upcoming RPG. But from the sounds of it, those questions will probably stay unanswered for some time yet. Early last year, Mass Effect 5 was in the pre-production phase amid reported layoffs following the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Then, publisher EA went into $20 billion debt as part of its $55 billion buyout, and things went a bit quiet on the Mass Effect 5 front.
