Mason Mount has described the double signing of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly as "unbelievable". Chelsea completed their first and second signing of the summer transfer window earlier this month as they look to close the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
Sterling, who signed from Man City for a total fee of £55million earlier in the month, made his debut for the Blues on Thursday morning as a second-half substitute in the penalty shootout defeat to Charlotte FC. Meanwhile, Koulibaly was absent for the storm-disrupted match in Charlotte, but is in contention to face Arsenal in Orlando this weekend.
The two signings are the first incomings of the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital era at Stamford Bridge and it's hopefully a sign of things to come. The Blues are now looking to wrap up a deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla, and are now extremely confident about getting the move over the line.
