Mason Greenwood has issued a statement following confirmation that his Manchester United contract has been mutually terminated.
Greenwood was suspended by United in January 2022 amid allegations of attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault last October. Greenwood states that he was “in February ... cleared of all charges”, though the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed at the time that the charges were discontinued and the case was “stopped” following the “withdrawal of key witnesses”.
