Masked Singer's Rhino sparks Twitter divide as fans 'work out he's two different stars'

The Masked Singer UK viewers are convinced they know who is behind the Rhino costume, but if they're all correct then it's two different singers performing as the character.

Viewers are completely certain they have got the right singer, but two different names have been put forward by them.

Its sparked a Twitter divide over who is correct, as those backing one name are sure the viewers backing the second name are completely wrong, and vice versa.

Only one name can be right, if either of them are, with viewers now calling each other out online for not predicting the same name as them.

The two singers in question are Busted's Charlie Simpson and The X Factor winner James Arthur.

Both singers have very similar vocals, and are great guesses for Rhino - while the clues also seem to hint at both of them to a degree.

But many viewers are completely sold on Rhino being Charlie, especially after the latest performance.

Many of the clues link to Busted songs and music videos, as well as other nods to the band - and then there's Charlie's recognisable vocals.

However, James has been thrown into the rumour mill too as some clues may link to his music or his private life.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "rhino is absolutely 100% James Arthur. No way it isn’t. Lost on every other one."

Another wrote: "Rhino is Charlie Simpson, Rhino is NOT James Arthur ! Would literally bet my house on it being Charlie!! All these James tweets got me."

Meanwhile, a third fan argued: "Anyone who says Rhino is James Arthur instead of Charlie Simpson needs to have their hearing checked!"

A fourth viewer said: "I still think Rhino is James Arthur, even though a lot of people think it’s Charlie from Busted."

As one fan argued James couldn't sing as well as Rhino did, one viewer hit back: "He’s a far better singer than Charlie Simpson!!"

It follows last week's show, that saw the panel reeling over the true identity of Rubbish, as snooker player Stephen Hendry was unmasked as the character.

Asked why he did the show, he confessed he loved watching it and he chose his own costume - saying he went for Rubbish because he knew he wouldn't be much of a dancer.

On taking part Stephen said: "I thought it was so obvious because it was me. I love the show and its way out of my comfort zone so I thought why not let's give it a go."

Cat and Mouse was the previous contestants to be found out. The duo were unmasked as celebrity couple and singers Martin and Shirlie Kemp, and none of the panel correctly guessed the result.

Martin confessed he was more nervous being under the mask, as he confessed: "I was more nervous. I could literally hear my heart in my ears," whilst Shirlie said it was harder to sing in the mask than out of one.

"It is just so off the wall. It’s so much harder to sing in the mask than you imagine it will be," she added.

The week before this, music legend Lulu was revealed to be Piece of Cake in a huge surprise, that the panel once again did not see coming.

On doing the show, Lulu revealed: "My grandchildren love this show, they love it! I love it too and that’s why I’m here. Because it’s such a fun show."

The first contestant on the series to be eliminated was Ghost, who turned out to be former footballer and presenter Chris Kamara.

Asked why he did the show, Chris said: "I did it for the grandkids. I want to see the surprise on their faces when they see me unmasked on the show. Not even my wife knows so it’s going to be a surprise for the whole family.

"I’m not the best at keeping secrets so I’m not sure what will shock them most, taking part in the show or keeping it a secret."

Chris said he found it particularly difficult wearing the costume - as it was quite "restrictive".

The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
