Jonathan Ross has revealed how he tries to work out the celerities on The Masked Singer UK, when the clues aren't always obvious.
The telly host revealed on Loose Women how he likes to think outside the box for particular hints, and this has helped him to crack the case for some of the characters.
He used Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford as an example, after he correctly guessed she was Snow Leopard in episode two of series three.
While the clues appeared to allude to a famous actor, given the A-List names the person had referenced in their VT, Jonathan realised he and the panel were getting it all wrong.
The trick was in the fact the clue wasn't necessarily saying they had starred alongside them, or even knew them, but perhaps Snow Leopard had met them in some capacity.
He quickly realised it could be someone who had interviewed these stars, and when hearing the vocals he was able to work out it was Gloria under the mask.
He explained: "I got Gloria! Not that quick because the clues, even though the clues all make sense they are also designed to sort of confuse you.
"One set of clues they gave us for Gloria was, 'Oh I've worked with Audrey Hepburn and Sean Connery,' and all this.
"So we were all thinking it's an actor or performer who worked with them, and it was only when I began to think maybe it isn't, and I thought oh no of course, someone who has interviewed people over that period would have known them as well.
"I could only think of two women from that period who were regularly doing those kind of shows and interviews."
But it isn't always easy to guess the characters, even when you do know who they are for certain.
Despite witnessing the unmaskings, Jonathan confessed by the time the show airs he often forgets who is under the mask.
He shared: "I'm watching at home with my wife as one of the people on The Masked Singer, and even though I was there when it was Will Young who was Lionfish of course, and I remember I got him eventually on the show but up until that point I thought it was Mika.
"When we were watching it at home, my wife said who's that and I said Mika and I persuaded myself again it was the person I thought, and I forgot who it actually was."
But so far, Jonathan has never been confused by the celebrity when they take the mask off - unlike his co-stars.
He confessed: "I haven't had that. I think some of the other guests might have had that occasionally. I think occasionally Rita is a bit confused, just permanently.
"I think when we had Joan Collins on, one of the younger stars took their mask off and Joan didn't quite know who it was, which is understandable it is a different generation of course."
The Masked Singer UK concludes at 7pm on Saturday on ITV.
