Masked Dancer's Pig's real identity 'rumbled' by fans as sports broadcaster

The Masked Dancer UK fans are convinced they've solved the true identity of Pig.

Pig took to the stage on Saturday night and pulled off a fun performance, while their clues gave some hints to who they were.

The show’s host Joel Dommett appeared alongside the panel including newcomer Peter Crouch, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Oti Mabuse, who are tasked with guessing the celebrity identities.

As the panel began trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together, viewers at home got their thinking caps on and tried to predict who Pig was.

It wasn't long before one name in particular was tweeted a number of times, as the clues "gave away" who was under the mask.

Clues included hints to sports and racing, with a betting slip and racing gloves on show.

Pig told viewers to "buckle up" and imitated an engine starting too, and hinted at multiple roles and a love for animals.

Taking to Twitter, viewers were convinced Pig was none other than broadcaster Clare Balding.

One viewer commented: "Claire Balding for Pig. So few clues it must be too obvious who she is!"

Another agreed: "Pig 100% Clare Balding."

A third added: "i think pig is clare balding."

It comes after the first elimination of the series last weekend, that saw Astronaut unmasked as Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe.

In the first edition, Candlestick, Scissors, Astronaut, Odd Socks, Prawn Cocktail and Pillar and Post took to the stage - with Candlestick, Astronaut and Pillar and Post dancing it out for survival.

Astronaut did not prove to be a hit, and was soon unmasked by the panel - and many couldn't believe it when Jesse appeared.

When asked why he decided to take part, Jesse said: “I thought it would be fun because dance is something that really intimidates me so it's a fear that I wanted to face.

"This has been unbelievable, it's one of the most zany things I’ve ever done in my career but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself.”

The Masked Dancer airs on ITV at 6.30pm on Saturdays.
