A government shutdown was averted after a stop-gap bill was passed by the Congress, with either party giving in a bit from their hard stances. Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump was not too impressed with the compromise the Democrats made with respect to aid to Ukraine.
“Shutdown averted (temporarily), but no aid to Ukraine. What a travesty forced on us by the party of Putin,” said Mary Trump in a post on X, formerly Twitter, immediately after a deal was clinched.
