Mary Lynn Rajskub and Jay Ryan have joined the cast of the upcoming comedy series North of North, which is currently in production in Nunavut, Canada. Rajskub, known for her role as Chloe O'Brian in the popular series 24, has also appeared in comedies such as Night School and Mayfield Games. Jay Ryan, a veteran of New Zealand soaps and series like Mary Kills People and Beauty and the Beast, brings his talent to the new project.

Other additions to the cast include Maika Harper, Braeden Clarke, Kelly William, Zorga Qaunaq, Doreen Simmonds, and Tanya Tagaq. They join lead actress Anna Lambe, who portrays young Inuk mother Siaja, and Keira Cooper, a young actress from Iqaluit, playing her daughter Bun. The series follows Siaja's journey to create a new future for herself in a small Arctic town where privacy is a luxury.

North of North, created by Stacey Aglok MacDonald and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, is a collaborative effort between Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment. The show is a joint production by Netflix, CBC, and APTN, marking Netflix's continued investment in Canadian content following recent regulatory changes.

Netflix and CBC have previously partnered on successful projects like the Anne drama series and Alias Grace. The series will be directed by a talented lineup of directors including Anya Adams, Danis Goulet, Zoe Leigh Hopkins, Lisa Jackson, Renuka Jeyapalan, and Aleysa Young. The executive producers for North of North include Aglok MacDonald, Arnaquq-Baril, Miranda de Pencier, Anya Adams, Susan Coyne, and Garry Campbell.
