Marvel TV boss wants the MCU to follow Stranger Things and put its shows on the big screen: "Maybe we could do it for the finale of Daredevil"

Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum wants Disney Plus shows to get theatrical releases – and he thinks the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale could be a good place to start.

"I want to do that so bad," Winderbaum told The Escape Pod podcast when asked if he was interested in following in the footsteps of Netflix and Stranger Things by showing significant episodes in the multiplex. "Maybe we could do it for the finale of Daredevil… We gotta do it."

There are still four more episodes to go until we get to the finale, so we'll have to wait and see if this season really does culminate in theaters. There's certainly a financial motivation to bring the Man Without Fear to the big screen, though – the Stranger Things season 5 finale brought in $25 million during its limited theatrical run around New Year's Day. Netflix also showed the first two episodes of One Piece season 2 on the big screen in February.

Although we're only halfway through Daredevil: Born Again season 2, things are getting dramatic in Hell's Kitchen. A shocking twist in this week's episode may have changed everything for Kingpin, and we still have an appearance from Jessica Jones to look forward to.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 airs weekly on Disney Plus. Make sure you never miss an episode with our Daredevil: Born Again season 2 release schedule, or get up to speed with the rest of Marvel Phase 6 with our guide to all the upcoming Marvel movies and shows.
