Jeremy Renner has confirmed he will not appear in the forthcoming Avengers instalment Doomsday, and joked that the superheroes are “gonna lose” because they left Hawkeye out.

The actor has played Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011, first making his debut as the skilled archer in Thor.
