Ever wondered how it would feel to choose a side in Avengers: Civil War and unleash mayhem on your opponents with every super-charged ability at your disposal? Marvel Rivals is about to deliver that fantasy at an entirely new scale with its upcoming 18 vs 18 Annihilation game mode.
The 18v18 mode in Marvel Rivals stands as the developer’s boldest and most chaotic innovation to date. It will push the game far beyond its traditional 6v6 structure by placing 36 players into a single battlefield where every second erupts into explosions of superpowers, flying projectiles, and game-changing ultimates.
While players can still play the game’s Marvel Zombies game mode, which was the first PvE mode, players can go back to embracing the chaotic style of the game with a brand new map called the Grand Garden, under the eyes of the Grandmaster. You have 15 other superheroes on your squad, and you’ll have to take down all the enemies on the domination battlefield.
You can line up combos or use game-changing ultimates to shift the tides in your favor. The new game mode will also allow you to use those team-up abilities and stay sharp for flanks from dive heroes. Unlike the regular matches, there are no restrictions on the heroes you can use, so you can spam an army of Jeffs or diversify to take down the enemy heroes.
If you’re ready for the real superhero warzone, make sure to play Marvel Rivals’ 18v18 game mode, which releases on Nov. 27, 2025. Along with the new game mode, the developer is also adding their Galacta’s Gift Anniversary event, which will bring a variety of skins for the players to celebrate the game’s first year.
On top of that, players can earn 2,500 Units and a free legendary Jeff skin by simply playing the game. The heroes who are getting cosmetics during this event are Jeff the Land Shark, Blade, Venom, Invisible Woman, and Mister Fantastic.
