Martin Lewis has said he feels 'disappointed' in one of his ITV colleagues after discovering changes on the set of Coronation Street.
The Money Saving Expert shared his thoughts, after noticing Roy Cropper's cafe prices had risen by a huge 112 per cent in three months. The cost of living crisis had obviously made its way into the soap, when eagle-eyed viewers saw prices at Roy's Rolls had been bumped up, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Sharing images of the menu boards, Twitter user @GregorSwanson discovered that pie, chips and mushy peas used to be £2.60 though over just three months was now priced at £5.50.

Another said: "I texted my mate when I saw the curry had gone up!" A third Corrie fan observed: “Surely it was underpriced before?” A fourth wrote: "Wow, Roy Cropper really out here giving us a taste of that inflation pie. Can’t believe we’re living in a world where even our mushy peas are getting more expensive."
While a fifth joked: "Cropper the capitalist pig!" The Twitter user also cheekily tagged Martin and business and political editor Robert Peston in the post.
And it's taken until Monday (July 3) for Martin to respond as he tweeted: "I’m very disappointed in my ITV colleague Roy. If he keeps this up, he'll come a cropper."
The last time Roy's prices were being questioned were back in September 2021. Viewers were a little distracted while watching the cafe scenes at the time and were quick to ask Roy if he delivered. "Any body notice the Pie chips and mushy peas for £2.60 count me in," one fan said.
Another noted: "There is also a sign up in the Cafe for curry & rice £2.75, it's been there ever since I can remember." A third shared: "I'm going to Roy's Rolls... pie chips and mushy peas for £2.60 and full breakfast for £2.95 bargain!!" A fourth said: "Most shocking part of tonight was pie, chips and mushy peas for £2.50! Do you deliver?"
