Martin Lewis has urged people to check if they are among the 862,000 households that are due a council tax refund.
According to an investigation carried out by MoneySavingExpert.com, residents in Scotland and the rest of the UK are collectively due more than £150 million. This is a result of overpaid council tax.
The financial expert took to Twitter to urge his follows to look and see if they are due money back. Posting on Twitter, he wrote: "Households in Great Britain due £150 million in council tax refunds – check NOW to see if you're one of the 862,000 due a payout..."
