Martin Lewis Universal Credit Help to Save UK Government

Martin Lewis is encouraging people currently claiming Universal Credit (UC) or Tax Credits to look into an “unbeatable” bonus scheme offered by the UK Government after a money-saver thanked the consumer champion on social media for sharing details about it.

Bryan Nisbet took to Twitter on June 5 to thank the founder of MoneySavingExpert.com for sharing “great advice” on the UK Government’s Help to Save scheme, which has netted him and his wife a £1,200 bonus, due to be paid out next week.

Bryan tweeted: “@MartinSLewis thank you very much for your information regarding the government’s ‘help to save account’. I claimed UC for my wife and me and took your advice to open account in June 2020, £50 each pm gives us a free £1200 bonus next week plus our £2400 savings, great advice”
