Angellica Bell has revealed some of her favourite affordable beauty products. The Martin Lewis Money Show co-presenter has praised some of Boots' budget beauty products, all of which are under £4.
Among the items that have left the 47-year-old TV personality impressed is a mascara that costs just £2.70. Boots has also recently announced changes to the Advantage Card scheme, allowing shoppers to benefit from a further 10 per cent off select own brand products.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Angellica told The Mirror that shoppers should try more lower-cost products. She’s swapped out her mascara for 17.’s Extreme Extension Lengthening Mascara, which is only £4, or £2.70 if you have an Advantage Card.

The Boots Value Ambassador said: She said: “Don’t be afraid to try own brand products, I think that’s really important. Be savvy and keep an eye out. Boots always has deals on big named brands too - like Fenty, MAC Cosmetics, Drunk Elephant, Anastasia Beverly Hills as you know. Also if you’re going to buy a blusher, that could double up as an eye shadow.
“Also 17.’s Extreme Extension Lengthening Mascara. Let’s just talk about that mascara! Sometimes it’s worth trying new brands out and giving them a go because you might be pleasantly surprised.”
The own-brand mascara was launched in 2022. It’s said to give your lashes definition and extreme length with an ecofiber formula, all for the price of a takeaway coffee.
Angellica continued: “I have always been a deals gal, I love that win. I don’t care if it’s 50p or a £1 - it’s been inbred in me since I was a young girl. When I was younger, I had a paper round, worked in McDonald’s - I was hustling and working, it’s in me!
“I think I am a bit more aware of it now - and being a freelancer, there are times in my career where I’ve had more work and times when I haven’t, I’m always looking for that deal.
“And I’m not afraid to try own brands as well - I’ve worked on different shows where you go to the research lab and it’s the same ingredients in a flashy, more expensive brand, then it is the known brand.”
The Money Show star also recommends bulk-buying if it’s a product you use a lot. She explained: “If there’s a deal for ‘3 for 2’, or ‘2 for 1’, I might get loads.
"Buy in bulk! If you see a product and you know you’re going to use it regularly, get a few more and store it. Find some space, and you’re going to save in the long run - and I do, do that.”
As well as the 17 mascara, Angellica is also a huge fan of some of the other Boots own budget buys. She said : “The Boots Biodegradable Cucumber Cleansing Wipes, which are £1 - after a show and I come back, I need those wipes! The suntan lotion [that Boots have] is also perfect for summer!”
As well as low-cost pricing, Boots have also expanded the Price Advantage - a bit like Clubcard Prices - to over 1,000 products. This offers exclusive savings for Boots Advantage Card holders every month as well as 10 per cent off for students on most products.
Around six million customers have taken advantage of the promotions so far, saving over £36m. If you fancy trying out some of Angellica’s affordable beauty recommendations and saving money with the Price Advantage, you can buy her must-have mascara for £2.70 here.
