His post was in-turn flooded with positive comments as viewers loved his fresh approach to the show.

"You are without doubt a true man of the people. Many in your shoes would just sit back and enjoy but you continually strive to use your platform for those that don’t have a voice. The phrase National Treasure is overused but you definitely deserve that title," one wrote, as a second added: "You do a very good job on GMB, but you do a much better and well needed job as a consumer expert. I hope we can get your take on whatever the chancellor announces tomorrow and its impact on ordinary people."

A third shared: "The amount you are doing just now must be exhausting. Please try to balance looking after you, it's obvious how much you care for people but don't forget to care for yourself and family first."

"You have done a wonderful job and it's been perfect timing with you being on @GMB during this time as your knowledge of the pressures faced doesn't allow for guest to flub their way through interviews," a fourth wrote.

Another viewer went on to praise Martin and Susanna as a presenting duo.

" @MartinSLewis is doing brilliant work! That’s a real shame you can’t commit more to it as you and the wonderful Susanna make a fantastic team. Well done to you both," they wrote, with another person posting online: "That’s a shame. You are quite simply the best presenter out of all the recent ones. People like you for who you are and what you do for them."
