Martin Lewis Universal Credit Help to Save Money Saving Expert

Martin Lewis has sent an important reminder to those who claim Universal Credits or other benefits.

The Money Saving Expert website founder told of an "unbeatable" bonus scheme created by the government for those who are currently claiming Universal Credit (UC) or Tax Credits. The Help To Save scheme rewards savers with a £1,200 free bonus at the end of four years if they pay in £50 each month.

Taking to Twitter, Martin replied to one saver who thanked him for his helpful money-saving tip. Bryan Nisbet said: "I claimed UC for my wife and me and took your advice to open account in June 2020, £50 each pm gives us a free £1200 bonus next week plus our £2400 savings, great advice."
