Martin Lewis has issued a warning to household across the country over the use of their washing machines.
The Money Saving Expert explained the best time to use appliances if you want to keep your energy bills as low as possible. And the financial guru noted the times that could cost you the most. Appearing on STV 's This Morning, Martin was asked by hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the looming electrical blackouts worrying many across Scotland this winter. The duo went on to pick the experts brain about switching to an Economy-7 meter - in a bid to save energy and help the National Grid with electricity surges - after a called raised concern.
Martin Lewis warned: "We are looking at energy difficulties this winter. We hope there will not be any blackouts." He added that the peak time for energy usage is between 4pm and 7pm and said that we all need to work together to ensure that black outs don't happen, reports Manchester Evening News.
