Money saving guru Martin Lewis has issued a warning to holidaymakers who have booked a trip abroad over the summer. The money saving expert has urged people who have not yet brought their travel insurance to “do it now”.
The warning comes after Martin says every year his “heart sinks” after someone gets in touch to say they’ve lost all their money because they were unable to travel and did not have insurance cover, reports the Daily Record.
He has warned everyone to book ‘ASAB’ (As Soon As You Book) your trip to ensure you are covered before you head on holiday. He added that unfortunately, a diagnosis such as cancer, will not result in a flight or hotel refund unless you have travel insurance or booked the holiday with a free cancellation.
