Martin Lewis issued an update on the second cost of living payment on today's This Morning.
Tuesday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme was hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. They were joined by the finance guru, who was providing financial advice to callers.
The UK has been hit with a cost-of-living crisis as a caller named Annie admitted she had been confused by recent updates to government support. Jeremy Hunt has been appointed as Chancellor and ripped up most of the Conservative Party's mini budget that sent the markets into turmoil.

The caller was a Universal Credit claimant and queried whether the updates had resulted in any changes to the planned second cost-of-living payment. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) confirmed earlier this year that more than eight million low income households will receive £650 in financial aid to help with mounting costs as the price of energy, food and petrol skyrocket.
The payment was split into two instalments as eligible claimants received £326 between July 14 and July 31. A further £324 is due to land in bank accounts in the autumn - and Martin confirmed this is still set to be paid as planned.
"The actual promise was that it will come sometime in Autumn. Many think this is October but if we go to the astronomical autumn, I believe ends on December 16 so they gave themselves more wriggle room than you think. We do now the payment will arrive between November 8 - 23 for most people.
For those who only get working or child tax credits it will come slightly after the November 23. You had to be eligible for the benefits, from August 26 - September 25."
