Martin Lewis issues £40 NHS prescription warning

Martin Lewis has warned some people may be overpaying for their NHS prescriptions.

MoneySavingExpert.com found 1,064,992 people purchased at least 12 single prescriptions in 2021 and 2022. However, if they had paid using a prescription prepayment certificate they would have saved money.

Patients were overpaying an average of £40 a year, according to a Freedom of Information request.
