Martin Lewis has issued a warning as Nadhim Zahawi takes over as Chancellor.
Boris Johnson was hit with a leadership crisis last night when Rishi Sunak quit as Chancellor and Sajid Javid resigned as Health Secretary. The Prime Minister was battling to remain in No 10 as his handling of the row over scandal-hit former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher became the latest issue to raise questions over his judgment.
Mr Johnson scrambled to save his administration and has since appointed Steve Barclay as Health Secretary and Nadhim Zahawi as Chancellor. Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis appeared on This Morning to issue his verdict after a dramatic night for the Conservative Party.

The Money Saving Expert said he had never met the new Chancellor but warned it is a difficult time to be replacing the government's chief financial minister. He said: "This isn't the time you want the uncertainty of a new Chancellor.
"It is a tough task. We have massive uncertainty politically and we do not know if the Johnson administration will be in power in a week's time."
He added: "What we have to look at here is we are amidst the worst cost of living crisis in the last 50 years." Martin warned energy prices are set to rise to £3,000 in October and also the UK is being hit with "dangerous" levels of inflation and said Mr Zahawi must be able to adapt to the role quickly.
He added: "To get your feet under that desk and to know what you want to do is not something that is easy to do quickly but that is exactly what we need of the new Chancellor.
"You ask me is if Nadhim Zahawi qualified. Is anyone qualified? I can't vouch for him. I don't know him. I don't know that much about him."
