A Martin Lewis fan has explained how he saved a whopping £926 on his summer holiday after following the consumer guru's tip.
The man, known as Paul, wrote to the Money Saving Expert team to share his story after he followed Martin's "cancel and rebook" tip for his holiday car hire.
Martin Lewis explained on a special holiday edition of his Money Show Live that if you have free cancellation for a holiday purchase - such as a hotel booking or car hire - you should continue to check your booking on price comparison websites to see if it becomes cheaper.

Then, if it does become cheaper over time and you have free cancellation, then you can cancel and rebook it for a cheaper price.
Paul explained to the MSE team that he had booked a car hire for his three-week summer holiday in January of this year.
However, as the Mirror reports, he later discovered that the price for his exact deal had "dropped dramatically.
It was then Paul remember what he heard on Martin's ITV show Paul explained that he had a free cancellation on his car and cancelled it to rebook it for a cheaper price, saving him £742.
However, just a few weeks later, the Martin Lewis fan then noticed the price had dropped even further. So once more, he did the same technique and slashed off a further £184.
Overall, following the "cancel and rebook" tip, Paul managed to save £926 on his holiday car hire.
Paul said: "On Martin's ITV show, someone messaged about saving on car hire by cancelling then rebooking - we did similar.
"In January, we booked for our three-week summer holiday, then discovered the price had dropped dramatically. We had free cancellation, so we did that and then rebooked, saving £742. A couple of weeks later the price dropped further, so we did it again, saving a further £184, a total saving of £926."
The MSE website says it is "well worth " looking for a flexible policy when booking car hire as firstly it will cover you if you have to change or cancel your plans. The team does urge people to double-check the terms and conditions of the plan before going down this route - just to make sure free cancellation is included.
This is because some sites can add in some "sneaky fees" such as admin or reimbursement charges - some of these can potentially top £30. It does also note that sites that offer free cancellation are "by no means the cheapest" - this means you will likely be paying more for a flexible booking.
