A householder managed to get £400 back from her energy company after she followed advice from Martin Lewis.
The MoneySavingExpert has urged people to reclaim money from their accounts as the price of energy is set to decrease in the summer. Experts predict wholesale energy prices will drop meaning the price of energy could reach £2,100-a-year.
It has led Martin to tell people to claim money back on their energy credit. And one fan, Sue, wrote to MoneySavingExpert.com to share her success at getting an energy credit refund.

She said: "I wanted to thank Martin for his recent Good Morning Britain segment about energy direct debits. I looked at my Ovo Energy app and after an online chat with them, I'm receiving a £400 refund, plus I've been able to reduce my direct debit by £170 for three months. Can't tell you how much I needed this right now."
Martin said on the show last week that now is the perfect time to get your money back. This is because of the way that monthly direct debits are usually set, reports Birmingham Live.
In his blog from May 2, the consumer guru wrote: "Monthly direct debits are based on an estimate of usage, and these estimates can be dire, leaving many unnecessarily overpaying with too much credit or underpaying and getting into energy debt." So customers who have a high amount of credit right now would be right to query this and ask for a refund, according to the MoneySavingExpert.
