Money Saving Expert advises how to slash Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Iceland bills - and save £90

Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert has revealed how to slash £90 from shopping bills with Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Iceland by using this ingenious cost-cutting tip. It said it's easy to sort - and well worth trying.

In the latest edition of the MoneySavingExpert newsletter, it outlined how to take advantage of any 'newbie' discount codes that some major supermarkets offer shoppers to entice them into ordering online. It also instructs shoppers to use all the codes provided at different supermarkets to save even more, reports the Manchester Evening News.

"Online grocery delivery has gone into overdrive and delivery services (including the traditional supermarkets) are all trying to sign you up with tasty new-customer offers such as 40 per cent off or £5-£20 off – though which you can get depends on where you live. Use as many as you can, and you'll make BIG savings," it stated.

The guide covers the larger supermarkets where shoppers have to book a slot in advance. Sainsbury's is currently offering shoppers £15 off bills above £60 using code SPPC22MAY15 . Delivery costs around £1 - £7 from next day. It is available for deliveries until Tuesday, May 31.

Iceland offers £5 off an initial online spend above £45 using the code ICEFIVEOFF . Delivery is also free for any orders of £40 or more. Meanwhile, Morrisons offers £20 off a first online order through Amazon worth £60 or more using the promo code SPRINGMOR20 . The offer, valid until May 31, is only available to Amazon Prime members and shoppers can choose their own preferred delivery slot.

The Co-op also offers Amazon Prime members £15 off their first £50 online shop with the code HELLOCOOP15 with customers able to choose preferred delivery slot. The discount code is available until Thursday, June 30.

Shoppers have also been advised to to check with their chosen supermarket for any multi-buy deals, further offers and free items that can be added to an order to maximise the discount code.
