Martin Lewis has given anyone trying to cut down on their credit card debt an unusual piece of advice that could help stop them spending money they don't have.
The MoneySavingExpert founder explained the tip on the latest episode of his ITV Money Show Live - and it simply involves putting a bowl of water in the freezer. Martin said that this advice is designed to prevent those with debts using a 0% balance transfer card, which he said should focus on clearing debts, The Mirror reports.
"Clear your debts in highest interest order first, which for many will be the overdraft," the expert told viewers. "You only pay the minimum on the others.
