Martin Compston tells Lorraine living in Las Vegas allows him to be anonymous

Scottish superstar Martin Compston appeared on ITV's Lorraine this morning to discuss the possibility of a Line of Duty return qand his anonymity while living in Las Vegas with his wife.

Martin mentioned on the programme that his living situation greatly enhances his private life with his family and friends - as he resides in sunny Las Vegas as well as his Scottish home in Greenock.

Martin continued: "We’re very lucky to have a place in Greenock and a place in Vegas, but it’s the anonymity of Vegas that I love over there, it’s nice to be able to go over there and have a quiet time, hang out with the wife, and the wee one and just blend in with everybody else.”

“Don’t get me wrong, everyone is incredibly kind here and I’ll be forever grateful for people coming up and asking for photos and stuff, but it’s nice to get away from being famous and to just relax with my family from time to time.”

The Our House star also teased a potential return to the ever-popular BBC drama Line of Duty when discussing his charity event with Inverclyde's Ardgowan Hospice and the cast of the show.

Martin said: "I mean, Ardgowan hospice is something that has always been really close to my heart, I’ve been the patron for it for a few years now, so every year I try and put something on for them.

“This year I got in touch with the folks from Line Of Duty and it’s also an excuse for us all to get together as well, so I’m really chuffed with it.

"Ticket sales have been great, and after it, who knows what we’ll talk about?”

He added: "Tickets have sold out but there will be a livestream of the event, so nobody will miss out, I’m really looking forward to it as I haven’t spent much time with the guys so I’m looking forward to seeing them again.

“It’s been over ten years that we’ve been working together now, and especially with scenes like the final one we shot, they are so intense, and if they weren’t with people that you trust and love then it would be a much tougher job I think."

The final episode of ITV's Our House will air on the channel tonight at 9pm, and the previous three instalments are available now on the ITV Hub.
