Line of Duty star Martin Compston was given a shout-out on a true crime podcast for his portrayal of Scots serial killer Peter Manuel.
Martin, 37, took on the role of serial killer Manuel, known as the Beast of Birkenshaw, for ITV's In Plain Sight miniseries.
He was praised by the makers of the RedHanded podcast for his depiction of the murderer as they discussed his chilling crimes on a recent episode.
Hosts Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire tell the terrifying tales of Peter Manuel's spree of killings in the award-winning show.
They praised the Greenock-born actor for his performance as the heinous murderer.
Suruthi asked: "I know we've talked about this before, I think you said you didn't watch it but there's the TV dramatisation of Peter Manuel's story.
"It was called In Plain Sight, and I think it was BBC - no ITV made it, and it stars everyone's favourite short man Martin Compston who is excellent in it as a quite f****** terrifying Peter Manuel."
Hannah chimed in and asked: "Was this reasonably recent?"
Suruthi confirmed the show aired in 2016 and added to listeners, making a slight blunder: "So if you can get your hands on it, or your eyes on it, it's out there somewhere.
"It's worth the watch, for Peter Compston alone. He's kinda hot."
After realising her mistake, she said: "Not Peter Compston, oh my god. It's Peter Manuel and Martin Compston.
"Oh dear, poor Martin. It's worth the watch."
In Plain Sight was first broadcast on ITV in December 2016 and even won the Royal Television Society Scotland best Drama award in 2017.
RedHanded's episode telling the gruesome tale of the Scots serial killer Peter Manuel and his horrific crimes is available to listen to on Spotify and Apple podcasts.
