Martin Compston learns Gaelic during break from filming Scottish Fling

Martin Compston showed off his new language skills as he spoke Gaelic in between filming new show.

Line of Duty star Martin has been filming six-part documentary series Scottish Fling alongside Gaelic speaking co presenter Phil MacHugh.

The lads have been exploring their native land, from the highlands to the cities and meeting people along the way.

In between filming they decided to have a laugh by exchanging some pleasantries in Gaelic, which Martin has been trying to learn over some time.

Amongst the phrases he's learned are 'Madainn mhath' meaning 'Good morning' and How are you? which translates as 'Ciamar a tha thu?' while Phil responds to him.

In their latest funny video, the two sit at the driver seat to exchange some pleasantries in the Scots tongue.

They captioned the clip: "While our film crew set up..."... We learn Gaelic!"

After Martin looks pleased with himself for pronouncing things correctly Phil gives him a high five and writes: "... nailed it!" on the post.

The duo were recently seen exploring the Isle of Harris.
