Martin Compston and Line of Duty stars play golf in luxury hotel stay just outside Glasgow

Popular Scottish actor Martin Compston was spotted on the outskirts of Glasgow with his Line of Duty pals as they caught up with a few rounds of golf - in the same hotel the Our House star married his wife, Tianna Chanel Flynn.

Martin posted the update on his official Instagram account, after the likes of Vicky McClure, Gordon Smart, Adrian Dunbar and Jed Mercurio all came together for a charity event in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Martin said that he had to "pinch myself at times seeing the Line of Duty team just cutting about Inverclyde!", as the AC-12 team enjoyed some relaxing golf at the Mar Hall Hotel afterwards.

Posting the photos on his Instagram, Martin said: "Massive thank you to the lovely staff at the always spectacular @marhallhotel and @marhallgolf for looking after the team during their visit.

"Surreal slightly hungover breakfast moment of us clocking this was room I got married in.

"Weather was perfect for swing of the clubs @gordonsmart and Jed M on fine form, my game went to pieces when my caddy Mr Dunbar had to go for his train on the back nine."

The sunny photos depict Martin and Adrian strolling down the golf course as they enjoyed a much-needed day off from the television cameras and adoring fans.

Martin also posed at breakfast in the same room that he got married to his wife, Tianna, on the outskirts of Glasgow's city centre.

Friend and fellow actress Vicky McClure commented on Martin's post, saying: "Beautiful place! I’ll join next time if it’s crazy golf!!"

Many fans flocked to Martin's comments to demand the return of the hugely popular cop drama Line of Duty, with on Instagram user writing: "Hope you were chatting about the next series … #lineofduty"

Another wrote: "How is the script for series 7 coming along? #lineofduty"

And a third said: "Series 7 is so very needed! I’ve watched the Vigil, Trigger Point, Our House and now I’m longing for the Line of Duty!"

Martin has already teased the return of Line of Duty when he appeared on ITV's Lorraine on March 10, saying: "After it [the charity event], who knows what we’ll talk about?”

You can catch Martin Compston in ITV's Our House, available on the ITV Hub.
