Martha’s Rule extends to A&Es across England after teenager’s death at south London hospital

A policy giving patients the right to an urgent review of their care is to be introduced across hospital A&E departments in England, following the death of a teenager girl at a south London hospital.

Martha’s Rule was introduced after 13-year-old Martha Mills died at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in south London in 2021.
