A Yorkshire couple visiting Edinburgh and travelling on the NC500 have slammed “scumbag” thieves that stole two of their bikes.
The thefts took place on Gracemount Place at around 05:15am on Wednesday June 13 as Christina Bolland, 54, and husband Bill, looked to wrap up their visit to Scotland.
A black Moto Guzzi V7III Stone along with its top box, crash bars and rack and a black and orange Kawasaki Versus 1000 with a matching top box and panniers were stolen from the pair.
Thankfully the Guzzi was tracked down and recovered but without the top box yesterday after members of a stolen motorbike group helped to spot the vehicle and a kind hearted individual stopped it from moving.

Unfortunately though, Bill’s Kawasaki is still at large and the couple are asking for the public's help in tracing the stolen bike.
The Kawasaki is understood to have 10,000 miles under its belt and has a registration of CF17 MTV.
Commenting on the thefts, Christine said: “We've both been biking for over 40 years. My husband got his first bike when he was 13.
“It's a passion for us, not just a mode of transport.
“These were the newest bikes we've ever purchased, having got to that stage in life when we can sometimes afford a little more.
“We have both worked hard for what we have and have never sunk so low as to steal from others.
“We had a fantastic ride around the NC500 and ended our trip on Monday June 13 with a two night stay with people we know in the area.
“The bikes were locked together on Gracemount Place. They were discovered missing at 05.15am Wednesday morning.
“The thieves even took the bike lock and a part of the steering lock was all that was left behind.
“My black Moto Guzzi has now been found, having had a number of sightings thankfully.
“But we are still looking for my husband's Kawasaki Versys 1000. The registration is CF17 MTV.
“It is very distinctive in bright orange and black, with matching top box and panniers.
“Any assistance in finding his bike or information on the low lives who stole them would be very much appreciated.
“The bikes were our pride and joy. It's heartbreaking to think of what these scumbags have done.”
Officers from Police Scotland are understood to be investigating the thefts after being made aware of the incident on Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called around 5.40am on Wednesday 15 June 2022 to a report of two motorcycles being stolen, from Gracemount Place, Edinburgh.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
