Married At First Sight UK returned to screens on Monday, October 18, with the last dinner party. The episode was jam-packed with drama as E4 viewers finally got to find out which couples remained together after the experiment and who decided to split.
There were many surprises in store for fans at home and the experts with the strongest couple of the series, Chanita and Jordan, revealing they were no longer together. Despite a fairly smooth on-screen marriage Chanita walked in alone and quickly became emotional while telling the other brides and grooms they had split. You can read more on this here.
Meanwhile Matt and Whitney, who ruffled feathers when they coupled up despite originally being married to Gemma and Duka respectively, confirmed they had gone their separate ways, citing their long-distance relationship as the reason. You can see the full list of the couples that stayed together and those that split here.

However, despite the dramatic scenes, which came after the vow renewals, many viewers were left fuming after a scheduling change meant they missed a chunk of the episode. Instead of airing in its usual 9pm slot MAFS UK aired at 8pm for an extended 75-minute episode.
"Damn, why did it start at 8pm instead of 9pm, I've missed most of it…" wrote one viewer. While a second added: "Who missed the 8pm start time so now watching #MAFSUK on +1 then?"
"What time did Married at first sight start tonight??" questioned a third. "I usually watch at 10pm on +1 and it's almost over!?? What is happening??" In response another viewer commented: "Caught me out too. I switched it on at 9pm thought I'd missed an episode!!"
E4 did let fans know the new time earlier on in the week but it seems many missed the memo. Posting on social media on October 13, the channel wrote: "Save the date. Don't be late, you'll miss out on the tea."
A statement attached then read: "Save the new time. Our final dinner party is an hour early on Monday so we hope you can join us. Married at First Sight UK returns Monday 17th at 8pm."
And for those that can't get enough MAFS UK will return on Tuesday, October 18, with the final instalment. Explaining what's in store following the last dinner party, E4 said: "Well, there was nothing bland about that dinner…
"Join us tomorrow night at 9pm for the final episode of #MAFSUK as the experts are reunited with our couples to reflect on all the laughter and disasters throughout their time on the experiment!" For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
