Married At First Sight UK descended into chaos on Tuesday night after an affair between two contestants came to light in an explosive dinner party.
Tonight's episode is set to see two contestants, Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes, ask the experts if they can join the experiment as a new couple after their infidelity has come out. Whitney has been paired with Duka Cavolli since the first week of the experiment, and it hasn't been smooth sailing for the couple.
Matt joined the experiment last week and was paired with salon owner Gemma Rose, and it looked like a match made in heaven until her sexual comments turned him off. Now, after an intense dinner party which aired on Tuesday night, a teaser has revealed new couple will ask experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling, and Charlene White if they can join the experiment as a whole new couple, leaving their TV spouses in the dust.
In the explosive trailer ahead of tonight's episode, Whitney is sitting on the couch speaking to the experts and says: "We're all aware this has been dead in the water for a long time," before jilted Gemma cuts in telling her: "It's not for you to decide how long my relationship was dead in the water."
Looking cool and collected, Whitney shrugs off her comments telling her: "Ok Gemma, there's nothing more I can do." Before continuing: "I don't not have empathy and understanding towards Gemma," when the tatted hairdresser interrupts her again.
After being interrupted, Whitney exclaims: "Every time I speak woman, you cut me off. Every time I speak you cut me off, I can't get a word in."
Viewers will be treated to the explosive scenes, as the remaining couples will speak to the relationship experts and decided whether they want to stay or leave the experiment. After the couples got together for their dinner party, both Matt and Whitney spent the night together away from their original partners.
Reflecting on his connection with Whitney the following day, Matt admitted their time spent together was the "happiest" he's been since the experiment started, while Whitney sang his praise to the camera, saying: "Matt is a good cuddler, I’ll give him that. He’s massive. He’s a big f**k off boy and I like it."
