Married at First Sight UK is drawing to a close after a tumultuous and explosive seventh season. The series, which has seen a whole host of drama unfold in 2022, sees strangers matched by three love experts in an initial 'marriage' ceremony but as the weeks go on, the couples must decide whether they want to stay together or go their seperate ways.
After the latest 'commitment ceremony', which sees couples evaluate their relationship with the love experts and aired on E4 on Wednesday, October 5, it seems that one of the show's most contraversial couples, Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes, who got together mid-way through the show have gone from strength to strength.
After ditching their initial partners, Duka Cav and Gemma Rose, with whom they failed to find a love connection, the two rejoined the experiment as a couple in a bid to pursue the connection they had.
Now, following this final review, the pair have repsectively posted to their social media, detailing their lack of regret for what occured on the show.

Taking to her Instagram, Whitney posted a picture of her sporting a white, purple and blue outfit alongside a caption which read: "The Final Commitment Ceremony. This experiment was one of the most intense and emotional journeys I’ve ever been on. It was a rollercoaster… a journey and I regret none of it."
Mirroring Whitney's sentiment, Matt also posted a picture of the couple, stating: "It was never written, it was never planned. It happened."
Fans of the pair, who were not expertly matched in the beginning, were quick to comment, wishing the happy couple all the best with their relationship as the experiment comes to an end.
One user, @lina_michaels_, wrote on Matt's post: "I really do wish you both lots of love and happiness. looks like you have found your twin flame", while @sue.adams.98031506 said: "Absolutely love you 2 together".
A third commented on Whitney's post saying: "I'm so glad you found love!! From the start of the show, you were the one I wanted it for the most. It may not have happened the way it was planned, but everything happens for a reason."
The spark and subsequent secret relationship between the two came after Matt and Whitney's first marriages were a disaster and saw them struggle to form connections. Whitney's pairing with Duka got off to a bumpy start when she ruined their vows, refused to kiss him, and forgot his name.
For Matt, chemistry was lacking between him and Gemma after he struggled with her sexual jokes. The pair were also seen arguing frequently which often resorted in one of them storming out on the other. The final episode of Married At First Sight UK will air on Tuesday, October 18 on E4.
Married At First Sight UK continues on Thursday on E4 at 9pm.
