Married At First Sight UK contestant Sophie Brown has revealed her heart "dropped" after receiving vile comments on her body.
The reality TV star, 30, appeared on the hit show last year and was paired with Yorkshire man Johnathan Wileman.
Things didn't work out with her and Johnathan on the show, but Sophie has remained friends with other contestants.
She met up with co-star Adrian Sanderson for a night out in Manchester, for a "bit of fun".
Yet Sophie was left shaken after she was flooded with hurtful comments about her weight after she was snapped with Adrian.
"My heart dropped when I saw the pictures and the comments.
"They were really horrible. A few people called me a whale, one said, 'It looks like she ate Sophie'," she told Closer Magazine.
"I know I've put on a bit of weight since the show, but who cares? Not everything should be about the way you look. It crushed my confidence."
Sophie admitted to having personal trainer sessions twice a week and eating a strict diet in the lead-up to the show.
But she says that routine isn't possible in her day-to-day life since leaving the E4 show.
Johnathan and Sophie were paired by Married at First Sight's experts and despite making it to the final vows were unable to maintain their relationship after the show.
The former couple announced their split at the reunion show.
The pair had their differences during their time together, with one episode showing Johnathan warning Sophie not to lift weights in the gym.
He said: "I never personally want a girl that's huge like bodybuilder legs and a bodybuilder body and someone that's really built up."
Last year Sophie took to her social media to throw shade at her ex as she shared a video of herself working out in the gym to a soundtrack featuring some of Johnathan's quotes from the E4 series they met on.
She was branded 'iconic' by fans for the move but Johnathan didn't think the post was a laughing matter.
A statement issued on the reality TV star's behalf read: "Johnathan is deeply saddened by Sophie’s recent actions on social media which amount to nothing short of incitement of online abuse.
"Her post not only misquoted but also misrepresented a comment made whilst answering a question about his preferences. Much like Sophie did throughout filming by regularly telling him she asked for someone more ambitious and career driven."
