One golden rule of Married at First Sight is not to cheat on your bride or groom and in the 2022 series this rule was not followed. Groom Matt cheated on his wife Gemma with fellow bride Whitney, who was married to Duka. Now Matt has doubled down on his illicit romance on the show, saying he hasn't got any remorse over cheating on hairdresser Gemma.
Matt posted on his Instagram to say that he has "no remorse" for cheating on Gemma Matt and Gemma's marriage began to struggle when Matt did not enjoy Gemma's sexual jokes and soon the pair argued constantly which often resorted in one of them storming out on the other.
Whitney and Duka's marriage did not get off to a good start, either, when she ruined their vows, refused to kiss him, and forgot his name at the wedding. This lead to Matt and Whitney becoming close and they cheated on their original matches.

Now Matt has said on his Instagram stories he no longer has any remorse for cheating on Gemma. A fan asked him how he felt about the scandal and whether he regretted the cheating, and he said when asked if he felt any remorse: "Like I just said in the previous story this was filmed in April through to June so it is pre-recorded. So right now, no, things obviously got a little bit messy afterward."
He added: "There is no hatred there, there is no animosity there, I hope she does well...I haven't got time for that in my life, it's too much, too much negativity."
Since the cheating scandal was revealed at a very explosive dinner party Matt has said he has one regret about the affair. He said that he wished he hadn't told Gemma so publicly that he had developed feelings for Whitney.
In a separate Instagram story he said: "To put somebody in the position of finding out in front of all those people in hindsight its f**king awful, it is absolutely awful. And that bit there, regardless of whether me and Gemma were getting on, that bit there is my biggest regret."
