Married At First Sight UK's Jess Potter sent death threats over stripper meltdown

Married At First Sight UK’s Jess Potter has revealed she has been sent death threats following her wedding to Pjay Finch.

The 31-year-old dental hygienist tied the knot with Pjay Finch in the latest episode of the Channel 4 reality show.

But Jess broke down in tears on their wedding day when she discovered Pjay, also 31, works as a Dreamboys stripper.

“He’s a stripper and he lives at home with his mum,” a heartbroken Jess was heard telling her own mum.

She even threatened to boycott their honeymoon to the Maldives as she was so unhappy with the husband the show had chosen for her.

Taking to Instagram, Jess spoke of her shock at the backlash since her wedding – which was filmed six months ago – was finally aired on TV.

She told her followers: “Can people stop sending me death threats because I’ve literally done f*** all wrong in this situation."

Addressing the haters, she continued: “You were not at my wedding. Let’s remember it’s edited so not everything you see is what happened. There’s a lot more context to it.

“I never disrespected anyone, I never did anything out of order.”

Explaining how the wedding really went down, Jess said: “We actually had an amazing day, danced to Chaka Khan and got p***ed on white wine out of a jug.”

On the show, Pjay and Jess are seen having a chat in which he tells her he is willing to quit his job to make things work with her.

He told Jess: “People say to me all the time ‘when are you going to get a real job?’

“Look I get it, I can’t do it forever and it has affected past relationships."

Jess said she wanted children in the future and asked Birmingham-based Pjay: “How am I going to build a relationship with someone who’s never there?”

Pjay hit back: “If it’s a case of quitting stripping, I’ll make it happen. My job, I know it’s a lot and I don’t want it to hold you back.”

Jess later defended her reaction to Pjay’s career choice on social media and claimed she wasn’t judging him.

The dental worker explained: “I wasn’t judging Pjay, but coming into this experiment I literally said just don’t put me with a stripper or anyone who works in night life.

“I need someone to be present in my relationship. I was in shock.

“It’s more my trust issues and not being able to see my husband on a weekend. I don’t have anything against him being a stripper."

She added: “I don’t think I can deal with it because it would mess with my head – and my mental health is more important.”
