A brand new series of Married At First Sight began on Monday, August 30 and although the series had promised drama some fans were left disappointed. The first episode saw Whitney and Duka marry and Chanita and Jordan wed.
While Whitney and Duka's marriage did not get off to a good start, you can read about that here, some fans were also not impressed with the new series. They took to Twitter to air their thoughts, as The Manchester Evening News reports.
One said: "Good grief enjoyed original format was interesting psychologically, now jazzed up and full of people wanting 5 minutes of social media fame. #MarriedAtFirstSight."

Another added: "#MarriedAtFirstSight what have you done you’ve taken a brilliant show and turned it into a fake reality TV mess. So disappointed."
A third said:"#MarriedAtFirstSight Turned it off thought I was watching Made in Chelsea all teeth and boobs and no personality. Even more set up than last series."
However other fans defended the new series. One said: "People complaining about how the cast aren’t bigger and uglier just turn off the TV and go stand in the mirror something, please just let us watch the show for what it is. It’s not everyday #MAFS #MAFSUK #MarriedAtFirstSight."
In the show, total strangers will "marry" each other before going on a honeymoon together and living in an apartment block with the other couples. The contestants will not legally marry each other but instead, have a commitment ceremony with all the frills and normalities of a real wedding.
During the series there will be dinner parties, which often see the couples clash, and commitment ceremonies when the couples will have to decide if they want to stay together and remain in the process. Fans might want to give the series another chance as a 2022 bride has dropped major hints that there will be a lot of drama.
