Married At First Sight UK couple Matt Murray and Marilyse Corrigan have announced that they have broken up just weeks after talking wedding plans and kids. Marilyse, 38, appeared on the matchmaking reality show in 2021 and Matt, 32, was on a mission to find his future wife on the show last year.
Bonding over their experiences on the E4 show, which sees brides and grooms meet their future husband or wife for the first time on their wedding day, led to romance blossoming between them. Marilyse was paired with Franky Spencer in her series and Matt had a turbulent time on the show when his marriage to Gemma Rose crumbled after it emerged he had feeings for co-star Whitney Hughes.
Sadly Marilyse, from Beverley in Yorkshire, and Matt, from Huddersfield, have now decided to end their relationship. Marilyse took to her Instagram Stories to share the news after being asked if they were still together. She said: “I’ve received multiple messages asking if Matt and I are still together.

"Out of respect to you guys and the support you’ve given us, of course it’s only fair to be clear. So the answer to this is no we are no longer together anymore but I do wish Matt all the best for his future.”
Matt shared a video message on his Instagram Stories as he told fans: "A lot of you over the past couple of weeks have asked questions about me and Marilyse being together or not and have we split up, are we still together."
"As a lot of you have probably just seen on Marilyse's story no we are not together anymore. We decided to leave it there. We are maybe just a little too different. But again I just wish Marilyse all the best in the future. It just is what it is."
Last month the couple spoke to OK! magazine about their relationship. Matt said: “The future of our relationship is extremely bright. Sometimes, the more and more you learn about somebody, the more it puts you off, but this has gone the opposite way. We’re just clicking. It’s like having your best friend and your partner in one person.”
Marilyse added: “Yeah. I haven’t been engagement ring shopping yet because I already know the style I want - a Haribo ring will do just fine.”
At the time Marilyse said "definitely" and Matt said they “absolutely” wanted to have children together. Marilyse said: “I’ve been really broody over the last couple of years and the closer I get to 40, I’m like, ‘S***, I’m running out of time!’”
