A cast member from Married at First Sight UK has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The individual has not been named, and has been bailed while enquiries continue, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The alleged victim has also not been named under UK law, which grants lifelong anonymity to anyone who reports an alleged rape.
It comes after a BBC Panorama investigation into the hit show which aired in May.
The show revealed rape allegations from two female cast members against men they had met through the programme.
A third woman alleged a non-consensual sex act, while all men involved in the claims have denied the allegations against them.
After the broadcast of the documentary, police publicly appealed for anyone who believed they had experienced sexual assault while participating in Married at First Sight UK to come forward.
In a new statement to BBC News, the Metropolitan Police said: "This relates to an ongoing investigation, being led by the Met Police. He has since been bailed while enquiries remain ongoing."
The reality show, commonly referred to as MAFS, sees single people “marrying” total strangers after meeting for the first time at the altar.
Billed as a social experiment, the UK version of MAFS has been running for 10 seasons and is one of Channel 4’s most successful shows, regularly getting over three million viewers.
The channel pulled all episodes of the show from its streaming service in May ahead of the transmission of the Panorama investigation, and it has not been confirmed whether the latest series, which has already been filmed, will be broadcast.
Channel 4 has commissioned a review into contributor welfare on the show, which the broadcaster has said is due to be finished later this summer.
Lawyers for CPL, the production company behind the show, previously said that its welfare system is "gold standard" and industry-leading.
