Married At First Sight viewers were left horrified tonight as Whitney compared her new husband to a "shed".
The new series kicked off this evening, with some of the couples finding out their other halves. Things went great for Chanita and Jordan, who ended up eating cake in bed after their wedding.
However, things weren't so great for newly paired up Whitney and Duka, as she made a blistering admission about him. Whitney, 31, and a personal assistant from St Albans, was less than impressed whilst Duka, a 31-year-old recruitment HR coordinator from Birmingham, tried to reassure her that things would go well between them.
As the pair met for the first time, Whitney seemed shocked as Duka turned around to face her.
"I wanted a man who’s a man that’s towering over me, like massive, like a brick house. Compared to a house, maybe he’s a shed," she said as Duka tried to ignite some conversation between them.
However, he had one redeeming feature - his beard.
She added: "But there’s no patches in his beard, so I'm not going to knock his beard."
Fans were horrified as she then told him: "I'm in between maybe saying the vows, or maybe, just like, run," before she went on and said: "This is the worst thing I’ve ever done in my f***ing life."
Whitney didn't like the vows part either, and had particular issues with there being references to love, as she fumed: "You don’t know me! It’s a bit of a weird thing to say, isn’t it?". Duka tried to reassure her, adding: "Just go along with it."
Angry fans took to Twitter to vent over Whitney's behaviour.
One person tweeted: "Whitney is just so rude! Why take on the show if your not prepared to try! Feel so sorry for Duka," as another added: "Why does Whitney think she is above Duka?? Rolling her eyes lol she knew what she signed up for #MAFSUK."
"Just want to give Duka a hug. Honestly why did Whitney apply to the show #MAFSUK," a third shared, with a fourth writing: "Why is Whitney acting like she didn’t just sign up to a show about getting married at first sight #MAFSUK."
A fifth penned: "Whitney is unbelievable. She must have known what she was going to have to do/say as part of being on the show. How disrespectful to Duka," with a sixth taking to Twitter to write: "I can not deal with this woman. There is absolutely no need to be so rude. Duka is so pleasant and polite and she is just so embarrassing."
"That was actually disgusting behaviour. If that’s how you feel, why are you there??" another viewer fumed.
