Married At First Sight's Kwame Badu has opened up about the reason why he didn't invite wife Kasia to his family home - revealing that the scenes were cut out of the final edit.
Fans were baffled when the business owner, 42, refused to let his bride, 36, find out where he lived during homestay week.
"Why can't we go to your house?,” Kasia asked the father-of-two, to which Kwame replied: "I'm quite secretive..."
Kwame also opted not to introduce the beauty to his family, prompting Kasia to say to the cameras: "Show me yourself, I'm showing myself to you!"
Following the episode on E4, one perplexed viewer took to Instagram asking what the "real reason" behind the mystery was.
Kwame replied: "Because I wanted to protect the home my kids live in with me. But, I made it clear to Kasia numerous times that I am happy to book an Uber while we were jamming and go to my yard privately, as in her and I, but not cameras showing my road, my living room, my bedroom - that's too much of me.
"I also kept my kids off the show and all this was fully understood prior to filming by production and K, but that explanation didn't make the edits.
"Private and secretive was to the world, not my wife - but context is a cold steak with no flavour."
However, some fans reckoned something more sinister was going on.
One tweeted: "Kwame definitely has a wife he hiding #MAFSUK."
While another fumed: "Kwame is taking Kasia for a fool! The wife that he is hiding should just come out! This is annoying."
The couple didn't get off to the best of starts on the show when Kwame claimed his bride wasn't his type from the moment she walked down the aisle.
The Londoner has also refused to be intimate with Kasia, prompting some viewers to call out his behaviour – claiming he was just on the show to find fame.
After rebuffing her advances, the frustrated bride said: “We need to get our act together as a partnership because I have had f***ing enough.”
Explaining she doesn’t want a “buddy”, Kasia contiued: “Babes, I want to get naked. I am dying to get naked.”
But when Kwame – who has previously said he loses interest when he has sex with someone – pooh-poohed the suggestion, MAFS fans were up in arms.
One wrote: “Sorry but I don’t believe Kwame is just trying to be a gentleman and take it slow! He clearly doesn’t want to have sex with her!"
While another mused: "#MAFSUK but Kwame is really not interested is he?”
