Marquinhos misses Arsenal training ahead of PSV clash as Oleksandr Zinchenko makes slow progress

Arsenal winger Marquinhos missed training on Wednesday morning after feeling unwell, but he could still feature against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday.

The Gunners have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League, however they can secure top spot and a bye to the last-16 by drawing in Eindhoven.

Marquinhos, who has featured regularly in the Europa League this season, missed training on Wednesday morning due to an illness.

The Brazilian, however, could still make the squad for the game against PSV and provide manager Mikel Arteta with the option to rotate players after Sunday’s draw at Southampton.

One player who won’t be involved on Thursday is Oleksandr Zinchenko, who missed training on Wednesday as he recovers from a calf issue.

The left-back is understood to have undertaken some running in recent days, but he has not yet returned to full training with the team and Arsenal will not rush his comeback.
