Maro Itoje has accepted responsibility for England’s embarrassing Six Nations defeat by Ireland on Saturday.

England’s captain won his hundredth cap as he started in the second row, but could not celebrate the occasion with victory. Rather, he endured one of his most forgettable Twickenham outings as Ireland ran out 42-21 victors.
