Marks & Spencer has shared more details about its upcoming M&S Foodhall in Stockport, offering local residents a glimpse of how the new store will look when it opens. The brand new 16,000 sq ft store will officially open at Stockport Retail Park on Wednesday, June 14.
The brand new space promises to offer a 'fresh market-style design', with shoppers able to browse displays brimming with 'great quality, trusted value' produce from the retailer's Select Farms. Customers will also be able to pick up freshly baked bread and pastries from its 'show-stopping' bakery, including M&S new collection sourdough, which is made using a traditional 30-hour process.
The retailer confirmed the opening back in January and initially said it would create more than 70 jobs in the area, but now it has confirmed that more than 110 jobs have been created to support the new food hall. It comes after M&S closed down it's Stockport store in Merseyway shopping centre in 2021.
