Marks and Spencer shoppers drool over 'better than original' Halloween Colin the Caterpillar

Marks and Spencer shoppers have been rushing to buy a new 'limited-edition' version Colin the Caterpillar.

Taking to social media, the food team revealed their Halloween twist for this year - and people are keen to get their hands on one.

Writing on Instagram they said: "BREAKING CATERPILLAR NEWS. For the first time EVER, Colin has been coated in not one, but TWO layers of chocolate! That’s right, DOUBLE the chocolate - double the fun...and double the delicious!"

Describing what the iconic chocolate sponge has, they added: "Our Yummy Mummy Colin features Colin’s classic extremely chocolatey sponge, filled with signature chocolate buttercream, then coated in a layer of Colin’s classic milk chocolate AND a layer of creamy white chocolate too! Complete with eerie chocolate eyes!

"Also available as a pack of 5 minis - aren’t they the cutest! Get him before he’s gone!"

In response to the post, many people were keen to rush to their local Food hall and put it in their baskets with people on the official Colin the Caterpillar page also drooling.

One said: "I neeeeeed spooky Colin!!!!!"

Another commented: "This looks almost even better than the original Colin."

"Got to get this for my Halloween party" wrote a third.
