Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg's 2024 jab that some AI rivals appeared to think they were 'creating God' has resurfaced as a Silicon Valley rumour claims some Anthropic employees 'worship' Claude, the company's AI model.

The claim, cited by The Spectator, has not been independently established. Zuckerberg made the remark during a 2024 conversation with YouTuber Kane Sutter, distancing Meta from grand claims about artificial intelligence.
